Suigintou Wig Styling
Setting Up
I placed the wig on the stand I bought a while back. I sprayed it with leave in conditioner and brushed out any tangles.
Check out my other blogs! I posted tips and materials I use for cosplay.
Trimming the Bangs
Since the character’s hairstyle is simple, I trimmed the bangs slightly so they wouldn’t touch my eyes. I also thinned them out to keep them from interfering with the longer lashes I wear for this cosplay. (She's a doll)
Straightening the Hair
The character has very straight hair, so I used a hair straightener on low heat to fix any wavy parts.
Note: Be careful with heat if it’s too high, the wig fibers might fry. You can also use a hairdryer and blow it downwards for the hair to stick down.
Avoiding Teasing and Crimping
I didn’t tease or crimp the wig since I wanted a smooth, silky look to fit the character’s doll like appearance.
Final Brush Through
After straightening, I brushed the wig one last time to make sure everything looked polished and neat.

I wore wings, so it's easy for the hair in the back to be tangled. It's good to have a person to help if you're doing photoshoots!
